How Do I change Date Format Rules From US to UK - 2 new

When I cut n paste bank stats onto a GoogleDoc spreadsheet
it is all good
until I try to sort by date. Where we come from the date is
expressed as: day/
month/year. But the US format is: month/day/year. So when I
try to sort or
reformat the dates it does so as per the US format ie 3/4/07
becomes March 4,
2007 - NOT April 3, 2007 which is - Tues, Jul 31 2007 2:02

I am just a beginner as far as Google Docs are concerned. I
use text boxes in
Word rather frequently but it seems they can't be edited/
moved around in
Google Docs. Is this so or am I missing something? Cheers

It is a very powerful idea that a document can be attached
to more folders.
But how can I see those documents? I can check all the
folders containing the
document, but I don't find any possibility to get the
document. It would be a
kind of intersection of the folders and wihout it the
multiple attachment is

When I change a document, even a single character, it seems
to me that the
whole document is uploaded to the server. Having a modest
upload speed (180
kbit/sec) it is very uncomfortable with a large document. If
my observation is
correct then is there any possibility to change this
feature? It would be nice

Well, I like the Spreadsheets so far...but the docs,
yeah...hard to write APA
formatted documents for school using it. It doesn't even
have Times New Roman
as an option, and that's what my school requires...and
specific margins and
pages, and it's so hard to figure out how much you've

Word nor OOo. I suggest not using Google Docs until Google
puts the priority

Firstly I would like to say that I keenly appreciate Docs
& Spreadsheets and
will use it exclusively as soon as there is a repository of
templates
available for irritating chores like writing resumes , job
application letters
etc. I feel however that the Hide folder is a bizarre
non-solution to 2
problems that i have seen referenced in posts on this group.
