Borders... - 1 new

No, spreadsheet cells can be grey or black (use the borders
icon on the Eidt
tab to set that); their thickness cannot be changed. - Sat,

Conditional formatting is not available in Google
Spreadsheets. The best you
can do is create a text warning, e.g. like this:
=TEXT(A1+B1,"0.##; 'Negative!
' -0.##") or like this: =IF(A1+B1>=0, A1+B1,
"Negative! "&A1+B1) - Sat, Aug 18

Antoher option... in the cell where you want your results,
enter the formula: =
SUM(B1:B20)+SUM(D1 20) The
sum function means... well... to add, and the
colon between the cell addresses B1 and B20 (as well as D1
and D20) indicate a
span. In this case it translates to... "display the
current sum of cells B1 -

How can I display long label in cells? - 2 new
----------------------------------------------
I've tried turning off the wrap text button, I've fooled
around with the merge
function, but I can't seem to display or print a long label
for a cell. Since
I am trying to set up some titles in the first few lines of
a sheet I don't
care if they overflow the column because I could control it
by spacing in
other programs. - Sat, Aug 18 2007 9:35 am
