Rubi, command line

I am looking fro a cross platform way to be able to control
Google
Earth - not simply KML. Why? Well I want to be able to send
events from
a server to a GEarth client and import KML - for game-like
situations.
The current network link options are a little limited.

Anyone found any links or info on how to control GEarth from
the
command line or a programming language?  Sure i heard
something about
Ruby and Google Earth to this effect?

I've managed to command movements of the globe and reading
of KML (no
export) using C# but the functionality is very limited and
frankly
mainly for amusement.

Seems like roughly the same functionality you get with
AppleScript. Yes
it is very very limited but odes the job for me, and I'd
like to be
able to do it cross platform. How would I replicate what you
got
working with C# in another language / via command line?
