Google Earth Caching Scheme

How is GE caching done?  Does it use the same standard as
Internet
Explorer with HTTP caching with Cache-Related Request
Headers and
Cache-Related Response Headers?  Thanks in advance.

Google Earth has a custom cache.  It doesn't use the same
standards as
IE.
