Greetings,

I have a bunch of satellite images and want to store some
information
about them in a kml file. The four corners of each image I
store in a
LineString. Each image frame appears in a list in the
sidebar.
Clicking on the link pops up the information I have saved
for the
image. Everything is fine and dandy.

Now assume that you have a longer list of images. Things get
messy.
What I really want to do in this case is to click on the
frame in the
map to retrieve the information. The only user interactive
placemark
that I know about is a point location. My question is how do
I make my
LineStrings interactive?

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Rudi

Hi Rudi,

You can create multigeometries (associating each linestring
with one
point) and use the interactive properties of the point.
The key working around this is to provide a point feature as
part of
every line.

Look this example:

y-for-mouseover-effects-in-google-earth-kml/

I hope it hel you,

José Gil

PD: I supose you know that a user can obtain the description
of a line
or poligon in the GE window by means of CTRL+Mouse click.
