Two PCs, same place but different resolutions!

Interesting one for you: I've got GE on my notebook &
desktop.

I've got a crystal clear image of my workplace (a school)
where you can
clearly make out arms on pupils on my laptop, but when I
view the exact
same location on my desktop, I can only just make out the
buildings!

How do I get the better image on both?

Same versions of GE, same ADSL link.
