Will Google Earth ever be updated completely?

I mean, I know they updated part of Las Vegas for that giant
Eva
Longoria Maxim cover, and I know they updated parts of Italy
for the
recent Winter Olympics, but will they ever update the images
from the
rest of the U.S. and world?

There are many areas, like small towns, that have no detail
whatsoever.
I wish Google would put out an offical statement saying when
they are
thinking about doing a massive update.

It's not a one-time massive update. It's a continuous
thing. And they
have several sources for their images. For the sources that
Google buys
the images, then it's out of Google's control when
they're updated.
