Square Map Titles On Sphere : How do you make them fit?

Hi,

Appologies for the obvious questions about spheres &
square maps, but i

have to start somewhere.


I have downloaded a number of tiles of maps. 1:25000 OS Maps
in
particular. I have a method of placing these tiles into
Google Earth
which works. However, the obvious problem occurs that google
earth is a

sphere, and my maps are for a square "flat"
representation of the
world.


How would i go about converting my square images to that
they tile
correctly on google earth?


I am new to this area, good introductory articles on this
subject would

be great.


I am currently developing in the .NET framework.
