New Official Google Video Gadget

Hey everyone,

Check out the new Google Video gadget that's just been
released.  It's
a great mash-up of the Google Gadgets API and our new Google
AJAX
Search API (http://code.go
ogle.com/apis/ajaxsearch).  You can quickly
search and play back videos right on your homepage. 
There's other
really cool features that's definitely worth checking out. 
On top of
that, it runs great on Google Desktop too!

Here's a brief list of what it can do:

-- Search videos without leaving the home page.
-- Remember searches by tagging them, which are saved by the
gadget.
-- Videos can be played back directly on the home page.

Have fun with it, and I hope it encourages everyone to come
up with
other cool gadget mash-ups using our APIs.

Hi Dann,

This worked for me and it was brilliant... but it only
worked once :-/
The rest of the time it sits their being unresponive.
Clicking on the
tags does nothing other than look like it's trying to do
something...
the status bar indicates the page is loading but then
nothing changes.
Nothing happens when I search for anything either. I know it
has worked
and when it did it was fab. 

Has anyone else had this problem?

Hopefully you aren't experiencing any more issues with the
Google Video
gadget anymore.  I can't say for sure what was causing the
problem, but
I'm glad it's working again.  So far we haven't received
notice from
anyone else experiencing the same issue, but we'll
definitely keep a
lookout.
