Hello,

I'm coming to do a little program in XML using XSL. This is
the program
(that is a simple calculator done to try the google gadgets)
:

http://www.webmaitrise.com/sylsau/googl
e_gadget/calc_xml/calculatrice.xml

I did a file like google says to do to add my gadget. This
is the page
xml :

http://www.webmaitrise.com/sylsau/google
_gadget/calc_xml/calc_google.xml

Then, I add my gadget in my google homepage. But This is
what it
displays for my gadget :

B77  B88  B99  Bplus+    B44  B55  B66  Bmoins-    B11  B22
B33  Bmul*
   B00 Bpoint. BCC Bdiv/ Bsqrtsqrt Bpowpow Bloglog
Begal=

Thus, my XML file is not treated with the XSL file. So,
simply the text
contained in the XML file is displayed.
So, Is it possible to do add a gadget made with XML and if
yes, what
can I change on the file calc_google.xml ?

Thanks for your help.

Sylvain.

Hey sylsau,

It seems like the simplest solution would be to create a URL
type
gadget that points to your calculator XML+XSL page. Here's
an example
to get you started:
--
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"
?>
<Module>
  <ModulePrefs title="Calculatrice 1.0"
width="320" height="220"
scaling="false" />
  <Content type="url"
href="http://www.webmaitrise.com/s
ylsau/google_gadget/calc_xml/calculatrice.xml"/>
</Module>
--

I took a glance at your gadget spec
http://www.webmaitrise.com/sylsau/google
_gadget/calc_xml/calc_google.xml,
and noticed some errors. Please make sure the XML encoding
is set to
"UTF-8". Also, "xml" is not a valid
content-type.  Please check the
documentation for more information at
http://www.google.com/apis/gadgets/guide2.html#Conte
nt_Type.

Thanks, and I hope this helps!

Dann
