Perhaps your webserver is sending along headers that
instruct Google's
cache servers, and other HTTP clients, to cache your data
for a certain
time? Cache-control and expires I think they are.
When I push a change to one of my modules and look at my
Apache logs, I
notice the changes slowly trickling out to users within
15-20 minutes.
