ICTC Test Engineer,Pennsylvania

Responsible for testing enhancements and maintenance for Trust Applications.
Creating and running SQL Queries to validate data and stored procedures.
Provide technical suggestions and guidance to QA management for improving the QA software testing methodology for the Trust applications.
Review applications for Usability and make suggestions for improvement.
Identify issues on complex testing projects and recommend solutions based on data gathered.
Identify, troubleshoot, and propose solutions on potential issues
Responsible for analyzing technical specifications, designing test harnesses and test cases, and executing the test cases.
Attend peer review sessions.
Ability to tactfully communicate and negotiate with project managers, development managers, release managers and developers to ensure comprehensive test planning and execution.
Will need to use Test Director to extract project and testing status
Team Player-will needs to work very closely with development and business users to ensure project requirements are met and delivered on time.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of version control software (e.g PVCS). Experienced with current individual testing tool sets, including at least one leading industry tool. Serves as lead tester for projects, managing incident tracking, problem resolution, and test scheduling
Works closely with developers, project managers, and users of the software to ensure resolution of any identified issues. Communicates and negotiates with users of the software, program managers, and developers as necessary to ensure comprehensive test planning and test execution. Has a strong understanding of the system architecture. The Test Engineer understands the implications of changes on the architecture and can focus test efforts according to business risk, impact on the architecture, and performance implications. The Test Engineer has developed specialized expertise in at least one business area, and one technology area.

Required Skills:
Minimum of three (3) years of being a Software QA/Test Professional, having formal testing experience with client/server, Windows-based relational database software required.
Experience in testing for Usability as well as testing from a back end perspective.
Experience working in an environment using basic SDLC Methodology required.

Preferred Skills:
Experience testing .NET applications a plus.
Experience with Mercury products preferred.
Financial Services industry experience a plus
