Position: .Net Architect ? Specialist
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 6 months

Description: The Application Architecture Specialist will
be
responsible for understanding and implementing the
application
architecture definition (e.g., an application?s structure,
interfaces,
and the application distribution strategy) and strategy set
by the
Application Architect.           As a deployable resource on
the
initiative, the Application Architect Specialist role will
have
significant interaction and collaboration with Application
Product
Managers to build and deploy the application.         
Depending on
scope of the project role, the Application Architect
Specialist will
be responsible for implementing the solution according to
the CIO
application architecture strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:         Understand the application
architecture
strategy as defined by the Application Architect.          
Establish
strong relationships with application product managers to
implement
functional scope, software package selection, and
architecture for
their respective portfolios.          Understand current
application
portfolios, capabilities of core ERP and technical platforms
(e.g.,
SAP, Microsoft).          Leverage capabilities in other
parts of the
Corporation, our alliances, and network of businesses
Qualifications Education: Bachelors or masters degree in
Computer
Science, related engineering field, or equivalent experience
Work
Experience:  2 or more years of application architecture
experience. 1
or more years experience in technical architecture design
and
implementation Professional skills:          Ability to
discuss
application architecture concepts           Knowledge of
all
technology architecture considerations (performance,
scalability,
maintainability, deployment, operations, technology
infrastructure).          Strong analytical skills.     
Good
knowledge of technical architecture strategies and
implications on
applications
Nice to have skills:        Mix of business, functional, and
technical
skills.          Knowledge of functional and technical
capabilities of
key platforms and packages key to Company?s future
application
architecture such as SAP, and Microsoft (Sharepoint, Content
Mgmt
Server, etc.) with deep expertise in at least 1 of the
platforms Other
Requirements:         Minimal travel of approximately 10% or
below is
required.         Travel may be required to other
development center
locations and to technical conferences.       Expected
travel is
anticipated not to exceed 1 week every two months.
