Invitation to view published notebook fails

When one invites others to view a published notebook,
notebook
responds,
"Google Notebook was unable to send e-mail to the
following:" followed
by the working address of the person to whom you wished to
send the
link.

Anyone have any idea why this does not work?

Same issue here. Although the gmail user does get invited.
