Do any of the appliances support indexing pages
immediately?

In other words, a user adds a new document or web page. Can
the
appliance immediately index the newly added page and start
serving it
up during search requests?

Thanks,

Dan,

Nothing is really "immediate".  However, you could feed the document into the GSA and it will be index by the indexer "immediate".  This will be based on the load of the system and what is ahead of it to be indexed.  We have done this based on triggers from db's or CMSs.

By immediate, I mean that it will happen within a few
minutes or hour
rather than an overnight process that needs to run.

Seems like this is the case based on your reply.

Thanks,
Dan

Someone asked me a question similar to this the other day,
and I
recommended adding the oft-updated repository to the
"Frequently
Crawled" list. However, I wasn't able to say exactly
how often
content in this section is crawled. Does anyone have any
idea? It
does specify that this field is intended for content that
changes at
least daily, so does this mean one crawl per day? Four?
Thirty?
