Server Crawl Errors on SMB Server

I have two sites of which I setup independant SMB server and
shared
folders. Site A gets crawled no problems authentication is
good and
all documents get crawled. Site B I get the following error
message
from the Diagnostic Panel

Retrying URL: Received 500 server error

I verified and tested the credentials and everything is
fine. As I
said site A is setup in the same manner and there's no
problems. Does
anyone know where this problem could stem from?

I've had similar issues with the smb crawl before.

In my case site A and site B had a different crawl
username/password.

I resolved the 500 errors by changing the user/password that
was doing
the crawling. I didn't follow it up, but I suspected one of
the
characters in the password was causing the issue.
