Thread: Drill through parametric search?

Drill through parametric search?

We're in the process of introuducing parametric search to
our GSAs and
we're thinking about drilling-through our parametric
results.

For example, under Regions would be listed Asia, North
America, etc...
Click North America and the next page of results would show
the
parametric results for Canada, USA and Mexico.

Anyone tried this? Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks,

fandyman

I think you would need to have two categories of meta data
against
each result: a region and a country.

For instance:

My URL
Region=North America
Country=USA

When a region is not selected as a filter, you would only
show the
list of regions as possible filters. Once a region is
selected, you
would show the countries. Since those countries would only
belong to
the region selected, this would simulate drilling-down.
