Sharepoint and Secure search.

Hello,
I have a GSA 4.6 which indexed a sharepoint server.
In the "crawler access" section entered the URL
user/pass and left the
"Make Public" checkbon UNchecked.

The problem is, that it does not find anything at all if I
leave it
private.

I search selecting the radio button "public and secure
content" but
zero results are found.

If I then go ahead and mark the "Make Public"
checkbox, then results
are found using both search methods, Public and secure.

Any ideas where I went wrong?

Thanks

Have you set up LDAP settings in the GSA?

I have not set up the ldap yet

I did not find any referente to it on the manual:
http://code.google.com/ap
is/searchappliance/documentation/46/help_gsa/crawl_access.ht
ml

Then agin, when you enter the LDAP setup secction it
states:
http://code.google.
com/apis/searchappliance/documentation/46/help_gsa/admin_net
work_ldap.html
"Your search appliance provides Lightweight Directory
Access Protocol
(LDAP) support to authenticate users before returning secure
search
results."

Making it clear that it has to be set up, whish that some
mention of
this would be placed in the crawl help page....

 thanks for your help.
