It sounds like you are using either Basic or NTLM
authentication which
means that Crawler Access is your answer. Here is some
documentation
to get started:

You will need to make sure that you have specified a URL
pattern that
exactly matches the URLs you want to crawl and then
obviously the
properly credentials. Once those are set, you should recrawl
the site
and see what happens.
