I compare our Google Analytics goal conversions to a report
on our side which
shows the number of transactions made that day (a
transaction should equal a
goal). Interestingly, the goal conversions equal precisely
twice the number of
transactions. When a transaction is made the user sees a
confirmation page,

One of the key metrics that I look at is what sites are
referring traffic to
my site. Google Analytics makes this really difficult and
overly complicated.
You might think that the full URL of the referring sites
would be on the "
Marketing Optimization > Visitor Segment Performance >
Referring Source" page,
but instead, it can only be found under "Marketing -
