Truthfully anywhere will work to some degree. Google wants
it as the last
thing on the page so it gets loaded last. Put it in at the
bottom of your
template and upload to your site.. Then open a page on the
site and look at
your source code to see if the code is there correctly.. If
you post your site

Tracking Unknown - 3 new

i have added 2 websites profiling for my local machine using
DNS names. one
with port, another without. 1. nwk11a.dns.com 2.
nwk11a.dns.com:8080 For both
sites iam getting status as "Tracking Unknown ". i
have added my tracking code,
i can view it in browser and it matches the one shown on
google analytics. i

Setting goals - 3 new

Hi! We have a problem setting up goals - none of them seem
to work immediately
(i.e. it does not look like that I can apply a goal to a
retrospective data).
Do we actually have to wait some 24-48 hours before goals
conversion result
will start appear on the reports? Or something is wrong with
our regexp/URLs ?

Server Side Redirect on Default Page - 2 new

We have multiple domains on our website, so the default page
redirects based
on what is coming in to refer the user to the appropriate
page. I have placed
the script on this page, as well as the landing pages, but
am still receiving
the "tracking unknown" message when checking the
status. I have done this many

computer is plugged in"
genre. Direct will never overwrite anything. Are you sure
that this is not
your problem? Links in email that are software (like Outlook
readers) will
never overwrite anything unless they are specifically coded.

Hi, I'm kind of stumped on one site Google analytics is
reporting 940 page
views whereas server logs indicate 3,558 page views for the
same period. There
also doesn't appear to be any major gaps in the pages
reported. It just is
reporting fewer hits on each page. My suspicion is that it
might be related to

Complete Export to XLS functionality is being killed!!!! - 1

I have found that this is useful as a workaround. It can be
a little
unpredictable at times, but may allow you to export more
than the default 500
rows into a CSV file. In order to see more rows, you may
also add the
following to the end of the URL in your browser while you
are viewing a report
