I have been unable to completely create a blogger account.
I am likely
messing up the name space with all the failed attempts to
get the
creation process to work. Where can I contact a Human
blogger support
person?
Initially, I could not get past the first [continue] button.
On about
the third attempt I managed to [continue] past to the second
page, but
was unable to get the [continue] to function to the third
page.
....
OK I was gonna write a preliminary bug report. Somehow in
the process
of all this I found an account creation interface that
immediately
created a functioning account (first attempt).
POSSIBLE EXPLANATIONS
[1] I suspect that there are multiple account creation
interfaces
accessible on the web; many of these may be old or
nonfunctional. The
worst one was the one I landed on after doing a google
search for
"google blog" Three steps. Couldn't get past the
first.
[2] After all; those seemingly unsuccessful attempts at
account
creation followed by the obviously successful attempt, I
went onto my
google account page, reviewed the Blogger link, and now see
that all
the unsuccessful attempts were actually successful *at
account
creation* even though they left me, the dumb
just-off-the-turnip-truck
user, with the impression that no accounts were being
created because
the creation interace was hanging.
One sort-of-pleasant side effect is that I have now likely
created more
potential blogs than anyone on the planet. They're MINE,
ALL MINE.
Heh heh.
[3] Unfortunately, I don't remember precisely how I got to
the
*successful* creation interface. But I believe that the
more
functional interfaces were accessible *from WITHIN google*
rather than
from the outside.
[4] Another scenario is that browser settings may have
prevented my
progress to successive pages in the three-page interface.
[5] A final scenario is that some of the interfaces
(especially the
multi-page interfaces) may handle only the first creation
smoothly, and
that the pre-existing account screwed the subsequent
attempts up.,
PLEASE ADDRESS THESE ISSUES.
It's a real hassle for us turnip truck crew.
Remember, the solution may hinge on fielding the search hits
smoothly.
