Google helpers923- Changing main template's background

Hi anyone floating in cyberspace out there!
I just started working with the beta version, and I want to
change the
rounders' template background that has solid colors to a
cool designed
background that I've got. I have been exploring the HTML
body, but I
can't figure out
the HTML tag and the position in the template's body to do
that. I was
using photobucket and the tag "$main BgColor url
(http:/www....gif or
jpg, etc.etc.)", but it does not seem to work in the
different
locations where I placed it. Does any of you has an idea
about the
right position or the right tag?

Hi there,

Extremely sorry about this, but I don't know how to post my
own
question without replying to somebody elses! I'm a member,
but where on
earth do I write my own messages? Very sorry I can't answer
yours, but
if you could please help me, I'll do everything I can to
help you in
future! I find this whole thing grossly frustrating and am
tearing my
hair out.

Hi yuskalee, thanks for reply but the problem is I can't see
any
"inbox" or "compose" - just not there.
Any other suggestions?
