Hello all.
For several months the mods have had the idea. Now, after
the help of
many
people, we are about to release it. We're moving the
Google is Awesome
and
Firefox is Awesome groups to a forum <http://www.google
isawesome.com>.
It
is hosted by the generous people over at Raydi Hosting, I
bought the
domain,
I set up the forum <http://www.googlei
sawesome.com>, and the mods from
GIA
and FIA will also be mods in the new forum. But there have
been
changes
made. The users will have more options, there will be a new
interface,
and
the moda will have more control over the look and feel of
the
community. I
put AdSense ads on the bottom of the forum (just the bottom,
we're
considerate of our users here at the IA groups  , and
we'll be
earning
money from them, whereas we did not earn any money from the
AdSense ads
on
the original group. This money will mainly go into events
and site
upgrades. Now that we have an income, we'll give out real
prizes to go
with
our monthly events: itunes certificates, TLDs, certificates
at geek
stores...everything we have the budget for.

after
two weeks or so. We will
not delete the group itself, but it will exist only as an
