40-43C is well within normal operating temps and is what I
would
expect to see from a functioning HDTivo. You might want to
look at
some of the large integrated circuits and see if one or more
of them
are generating excess heat. You can buy self-sticking heat
sinks for
these chips that should help keep them cool.
