Issues with Vista WMP 11 play back of .ty files

Anyone know where to find codecs that work with Windows
Vista Home 
Premium and WMP 11?  My new computer won't play the .ty
files I 
downloaded under XP.  I can use Tyshow and watch programs
that are 
still on the TiVo but once they're downloaded it's no go.  I
also read 
something on another site abouyt changing the extension to
.mpg but 
that does not work.  My thought is it's a codec issue.

Doesn't Vista take it upon itself to rights-manage all
of your content for you?

That's not the problem.  The problem is just that TyShow
isn't totally
working with Vista yet.  Check the development thread on ddb
for more
details.
