The S3's are hackable but with limited capabilities at the moment. I
think there may be things waiting in the wings until the whole
Cablelabs certification thing is over with. I haven't heard any
updates on it so I'm in a wait and see mode.

Ok, cool.

How's the fios service?  Any glitches?  Is it always perfect?  Do you also get internet service on fios? ; What bandwidth?  Is it perfect too?

Sorry, I know we're off subject, but I've wanted fios since I heard about it, and have a burning curiosity.
