The supported way to build Helix Player is to use the
Ribosome:
https://player.helixcommunity.org/2007/dev/quickstart.
html
Some people have the luck with the tarball, but some don't.
I suppose it
is a work item that never gets its priority so far.
If you have the time, would you get familiar with Ribosome
using the
quickstart above and then find out if there is anything
wrong with the
tarball?
That would benefit people who prefer source tarball.
