Dear Friend,
I have given 100% of my life to building LBWF.
I work 24/7 on the animals behalf, nursing
rehabilitating, educating, yet I find myself
pleading with you once again for your help! Our
recent fundraiser fell short of the necessary
monies we needed for the dogs. Sadly, saving lives
is costly and we are $9,300 short of our animals
medical, boarding and feed bills due next week!!
Won't you help ?
LBWF works very hard to help bring the
spotlight to the current animal crisis in America.
Because of your commitment to support us we are
able to continue doing this necessary work! We can
not turn our back to hate crimes and animals left
to die. We don't have the LARGE monies the big
organizations have, nor do we have our much
needed facility to house our animals and educate
the public. We have been searching for over 2
years for such a property. We have no outside
funding and rely completely on your donations and
support! Sadly, our funds have diminished and we
NEED YOUR HELP! All your donations are tax
deductible - nothing too big or too small.
Remember our Katrina dogs? They are STILL
PATIENTLY WAITING for their forever homes. They
need food, fosters, love, toys and boarding while
they wait. Linda and LBWF does everything we can
to keep them happy while they wonder "why"
no one takes them home. They are ALL GREAT DOGS!!!
Here are TWO NEW EMERGENCY CASES we wanted you
to know about!!! Both of these dogs, with serious
injuries, were left to die!!
Meet Bono, a dog so loving he could more
properly be called a "kiss-bull" rather than a
pitbull.
Bono was found wandering the streets of South
L.A. with gang graffiti written on him, an
embedded collar, and ears that had been chopped
off much too short. Additionally, the neutering
job done on him at the shelter was done badly,
resulting in an infection.
LBWF has rescued Bono from the shelter where he
was taken. This loving, very calm and gentle boy
does not have a mean bone in his body (probably
much to the frustration of the gang members who
treated him so cruelly). He is totally good with
other dogs and children.
Here's little "Rudy" (short for Rudolph
Valentino), a sweet little toy Manchester Terrier
mix. He was brought into the Pasadena shelter
after having been hit by a car and dragged, if you
can believe that. How did he survive such a
horrible accident? He had much of the skin ripped
off his back right and front legs and a small pull
to his back ligament. Three months later he is
doing really great. He likes to stretch his leg
out when he can, like a ballet dancer, but it is
healing every day.
We're giving Bono and Rudy the medical help
they so urgently needed, but the cost has been
enormous! We need your help us with
the vet care these little guys needed.
Thank you,

Linda Blair
