Well, I think one thing can be said here.... We do
all care about the CK dogs... passionately! Let's all try to do what we
can. If we all pool our (minimal...yes, true for me too) resources and
time, think about how much good we can do for the dogs and cats! Maybe
those closer to TT could help those of us thousands of miles away stay on top of
what's going on down there. And those of us farther away
can "cyber-foster", post dogs on Petfinder sites, yahoo lists, put up
fliers in our communities, etc. I know each one of us has
something we can do to help, even if it's just saying a
prayer!
Let's GET BUSY! GO, GO, Camp
Katrina!!!!

Wow, lots of heat in the past few posts about the situation at CK and
what some have or have not been doing. Lack of information from CK
is
the reason we are all posting things that pertain to other parts
of the
country. I understand they only have dial-up; well, get
someone with a
camera (doesn't have to be digital; you can get a disc
made at a drug
store and download it), go down there, get bios, go
home and post it on
this site. I only live 5 hours away...if anyone
had asked I would have
gone there without hesitation.
And to answer someone's comment (don't know
who's at this point) that
some of us are financially well off...NOT! I'm
two months behind on
my mortgage not to mention in default with numerous
credit cards. I
don't know of any rescue person that has money to burn but
we all
take care of our animals and have money for gas for a transport or
take our animals to the vet or whatever else. It's insulting that
money is even brought up in this kind of situation. I'm feeding a
128
lb foster rottie with kidney disease Purina NF ($55 for a 35 lb
bad); no
wonder the mortgage isn't paid!
So whoever is at CK or is able to get
there, PLEASE get us the info
on who is still there, their pictures, bios,
etc. The people here
truly do care about the animals but we can't help
them if we don't
know about them.
