Dion-
This is the second time I have heard that was going to
happen/happened.
This message upset me a great deal. Jeff is 'out of the picture'.
Johnna is in NO a lot of the time, and I know she is on her way to
Albany, NY with two dogs as we speak-at the least a 4 day trip, I
know because I did it - so she is not at Camp K. Who is? Who is
running it? Who is seeing if their board is making decisions on the
future of the place we put so much in to? Besides Liz, who has put
off her return home yet another time, who is taking care of things?
At the risk of sounding cold and hard-hearted, I will say that rather
than assuming the volunteers will rally once again with their time
and their money, they need to keep Jeff despite personality
differences and keep Johnna there to do things. They need to extract
their head from their *&^ and get their act together and start
surviving themselves. They need to find people there to help-and
yes, I know it's a poor rural area, I live in one myself and there
are still people willing to help if you look for them. I am sure
there are some of us who would be do what we can, long-distance, to
promote their cause and help them out. But their board, which Liz
has told me is 'going to decide what they will be doing' needs to get
with it and do it. Even if these people are scattered, they can meet
electronically, and vote by proxy on things.
Blessings on the people who could go back time after time, and who
could stay there long-term. Most of us cannot. Witness the problems
Laura is having with the transports-everyone has their own lives and
causes.
Their leadership, if there is indeed any, needs to start leading - or
turn it over to others who will.
Sorry, that's how I feel, and if I have p*## & anyone off I
apologize, I did not mean any individual criticism. I care, but just
like kids, caring means setting them out on their own at some point.
