Dion,
It makes me sad also - and I know my response sounds just angry, but
it does make me a little that as well. My understanding (which may
be entirely wrong, as you say, we are not there)is that leaving was
not entirely Jeff's idea, but (again my understanding of it) that
leaves them without someone to try to get people and money. He was
not a hands on animal person, as Johnna is, but he seemed to be more
on the administrative end, which now they sorely need.
They are not doubt in a hard spot for money, but again, they need to
be reaching out to other places than just those of us who have
already given. And because there are not more places looking, they
need to be Avis and try harder. Losing the person who was doing that
does not seem to me to be the best thing, but again, we do not know
what all went on.
Glad you are able to get back down there. My window to do it is now
past, as my schedule will be getting busier and busier through the
summer, if I get back it will not be until next fall.
Anyway, let's hope that they do start getting it together, and that
we can keep helping in whatever way possible.
Have a good day,
Barbara
