You nailed it right on head, no matter how sad it is.
Pulling these animals out of shelters in not a problem; we all know
someone who can do it or do it ourselves. Finding foster/forever
homes is the big problem. Everyone is innundated right now. The
mixed breeds are the highest group at risk to be PTS as the breed
rescues only want to take the pures. And even with many pures there
is simply not enough places to take them.
This group has been just amazing and I am so proud to be a part of
the on-going effort and momentum we've generated. Getting better
organized will help us accomplish even more.
Laura, in addition to the topics you mentioned, maybe we can have a
list by State of what each one of us can do (i.e. I can pull from Ga
shelters and foster rotties when I have room).
