livestock trailer to Camp Katrina and to Waveland loaded with animal 

food and supplies collected in our upstate NY county and took a trailer 

full of dogs back - including the pregnant lab who gave birth on 

Roberta's lap on the way north), was dealing with neighbors to his 

alpaca farm complaining about the noise his two Great Pyrennes guard 

dogs were making.  Only one neighbor, who, ps, moved there after Dave 

had the farm extablished.  After several hearings with the town board, 

etc, today's headline says the Dept. of Agriculture has ruled in his 

favor that he can keep the dogs - thus helping keep coyotes and other 

predators away from his sweet, beautiful, defenseless alpacas.  I've 

met the dogs and they are also sweeties.

Yay!  One for the home team!
