    is was crossposted by another group about this guy who rescued a kitty that was struck by a car but he lives on what do you call it, not rehabilitation, disabililty, disability - so his income is fixed and limited, but he's putting $200 of those precious few dollars to save the kitten (See his story at bottom) and will give him a home if the kitten lives (which it now seems the kitten stands a chance).  I replied to this guy last night (but could not offer much money just a little off a credit card) and this is part of his sweet response:

updates and trying to relax, ahhhhhh. I wish the kitten was here though

Creature Comforts Feral Rescue
Hello,
Can someone please help, this cat was hit today at the corner of bay
parkway and bath ave here in brooklyn near where I live. Me and a
young lady took it to an animal hospital called Pet Haven, we are both
on tight budgets. I receive
 disability. I am going to pay $200 towards
the bill when my direct deposit goes in on thursday but it may not be
enough. The doctors have gone ahead and kept him alive but said its
serious and he may not make it. I went back to take some pictures so I
can try to show people how cute he is and raise funds to help him.
When he is released I will bring him home with me and nurse him back
to health if he makes it that long. I was hit by a truck when I was a
child and hospitalized for a month and I lived so I think this kitten
deserves the same chance. Can someone please help. I promise this isnt
a scam or anything, I can provide the contact information for the
animal hospital and verify everything. My name is ken, my number is
646-290-7057. I am hoping to get some donation to the hospital for his
care.
