Interesting, Aman,

I think you're right that using two transmitters on
different channels is
the only way to get true stereo. The Telcom, handimic and
Smartlink do have
a stereo plug, but I think they combine that into a mono
transmission to
both receivers.

For most people with hearing loss, that's sufficient.
Stereo is often lost
on people with more severe hearing losses. I my case, it's
completely lost
since I'm completely deaf in my left ear.

Sounds like you've found a good solution to get stereo that
works for you.

I can listen to TV anywhere within 60 or more feet of the
TV, but usually I
watch TV while sitting in front of it. The Telcom is right
beside me on an
end-table so it's easy for me to turn the phone on or off
depending on
whether the call is for me or not. But your use of it for
an alternative
channel from the computer does present a remote control
problem.

For the remote control, you might look into a remote power
switch. I think
you might be able to get an X10 remote power switch with a
keychain sized
button for controlling the power. Then when you wanted to
cut the Telcom
off or on, you could do that remotely.

Good luck.
