Producer failed to run

Hello,

	I have installed "Helix Producer Plus Basic 11"
on Linux Fedora Core 5. 
When I run the commmand:

	producer -i topgun_512.avi 

It tells me that the Avi file may be a flat file and
Initialization error. If
I used it to transform other formats, such as MPEG1, MPEG2,
it will tell me
that they are not AVI files. I have installed Mplayer and
VLC on Fedora Core 5
and several codecs. 

	What are the problems there?
