Helixcommunity frontpage becomes distorted under IE7 or Vista

The cause is with the fonts. Different fonts have different
sizes, spacing, monospace vs
non-monospace, etc., and only a few fonts are common to all
Windows (all versions), linux, and Mac.
The font that HC.org frontpage development and testing
extensively used is not available under
linux, Max (possibly), and Vista. For that reason, the
webpage needs to select other fonts under
Linux, Mac, and Vista, and the new font size, spacing ....
distort the original layout.
