Summary: Feature Request: Discussion forums need
features like "S
ticky Posts" "Preview
Post" "Edit Post"
Severity: S2
Status: NEW
Hardware: PC
Version: unspecified
Tracker: Web content
Project: community
Target Milestone: Unassigned
The discussion forums i refer to can be found at:
https:
//helixcommunity.org/forum/?group_id=154
The forums are reasonably active and are lacking in a few
features at the moment.
The list of features that, in my opinion are absolutely
essential are as follows:
1. The ability to "sticky" a post so as to mark a
post in a manner that allows the particular post
to remain visible over other posts at all times
2. The ability to preview a forum post before the post is
submitted
3. A bigger edit box in which to edit a post before
submitting/previewing.
The following features would be desirable to have:
1. The ability to edit a previously made post for a
logged-in user.
2. Clicking on a (poster) user's name on the forum page
takes the "clicker" to the HC.org user's
page - it would be helpful to be able to see all the posts
made by the particular user.
3. The ability to search a particular forum would be nice
(as opposed to a site-wide search which
appears to be the default).
The forum in it's current forum appears to be quite outdated
and it would be really nice to have
some work done towards updating the forums.
