Eliza –
I am not entirely clear on what exactly you want to do?
You want to check out just RARV code? Then Jonathan is correct and you should
use CVS and check out the modules you need.
Example cvsco rarvcode-video codec/rv89combo
From your email below it appears that you have already
downloaded and compiled the helix client core with mp3 using the quick start
instructions.
If you want RA/RV support you need to be using different bif,
profile and target. Run the build as explained below. You will get the
splay target as well as the source code for this build.
BIF branch:
hxclient_1_5_0_cayenne
Profile:
helix-client-all-defines
Target: splay

Hi Jonathan,
Thank you for your response.
Unfortunately, this matter is unexpected
delay to us and we don¡¯t have enough time.
I several times request to you. WHO can help to us this matter for clearly?
(I sent e-mail to helixcommunity.org">helix-client-dev helixcommunity.org
BUT, I don¡¯t receive any feedback.)
By the way, I would like to inform you
that we need to check the RealVideo & RealAudio Source code.
Therefore, FIRST we want to down load and
get the RealVideo & RealAudio Source code only (not to build.)
Please help us HOW we can access your RealVideo & RealAudio Source code.
Please inform us access the RealVideo
& RealAudio source code processing OR any other information.
Would you grant to us the RealVideo &
RealAudio Source code by Zip file form directly?
Thanks,
Eliza Huh
As I said yesterday, there are a large
number of BIFs (which essentially define one code branch and how to build from
it). Within each BIF and its ancestor BIFs are a number of different targets.
Profiles are then used to enable or disable features that you wish to build
into your project. There are literally thousands of possible
combinations; your best bet for determining which combination is right for you
is to ask on the –dev lists. Hopefully, the folks on helix-client-dev can
help you out.
Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi Eliza,
I am afraid I am not the right person for this question; the folks in helixcommunity.org">helix-client-dev helixcommunity.org
are. Jonathan Finnecy might be able
to speak something for this too.

And we already tried to access the
RealVideo and RealAudio Source code but we can not access by your site yet.
During our
double check we came up with some issues we¡¯d like to clarify with you as below.
We try to the below but we can not successful. Could you please
check it out what is the problem?
Why we can not access the RealVideo and RealAudio Source code?
BIF branch : hxclient_2_0_0_cayenne
Profile : helix_client_local_ra_rv
Target : datatype_dist_rm_video_codec_rv89combo
In the BIF branch is many kind of
packages. Unfortunately we couldn't select it.
Which each package (BIF branch, Profile & Target)
is we have to approaches or select for RealVideo and RealAudio?

Subject: RE: [hxadmin] Some
question in generating source codes
Yes, that is correct. They should be able
to build the dna client with ra/rv codecs
Is the following correct?
They signed the right license and were given the correct permission per the
license. Due to the fact that kkh is not sure what setting to use, he used a
setting (branch, profile, target) that includes project distribution, which is
not covered by the license they signed. So, if the correct setting is used,
everything should go alright.

This is not a license issue
nor does it appear from my end to be a persimmons issues.
So, what should they do? Sign the required license?

No, I did not forget. I double checked and it
does appear that they were granted access to the restricted projects as per
their license agreement.
Adding Rishi and Jonathan.
Comments inline. Jonathan, can you take the second question? Mike, can you take
the read access of distribution thing? Did we happen to forget to give lpg9453
read access to it?

Dear Kinson
We have download and compiled
mp3 example using web-site instructions successfully.
So we¡¯d like to
generate source code that will be work on win32 with visual c++ 6.0.
And we tried to do it, but we
have failed.
Our test environment is bellow
BIF branch : hxclient_2_0_0_cayenne
Profile : helix_client_local_ra_rv
Target : datatype_dist_rm_video_codec_rv89combo
To explain our actual status,
we attached log file (¡°Build.out¡±)
<Question> Could you
review the attached file and let me know what is problem.
Seems
two problems. 1. Wrong selection of SYSTEM_ID? It keeps saying cannot find
module `win32-i386-vc6/ .......
2. You
don't have read access to the distribution project. Mike is working on it.
And
we guess we didn¡¯t know what we shall
select in Build System Menu (Ribosome v2.4.4).
<Question> Our questions
are bellow
Which BIF branch should we select?
Which profile should we select?
Which Target should we select?
Jonathan
can help with this.
Thanks
in advance
Ku Hyun
Dear Kinson
We have done by Part 2: Building the Helix DNA Client Sources phase 7.
But there are so many
requests about my password in phase 8.
<Question> Is it
normal process to generate source code?
And if it is something
wrong, what is a problem? and how can we correct it?
(We attached error screen image to help
you understand our actual status.)
Thanks in advance
Ku Hyun
Adding helix-client-dev helixcommunity.org">helix-client-dev helixcommunity.org
and comments below.
Why the log shows "cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs localhost"? We do not seem
to allow pserver, do we? It is the reason?

Kinson

But we are in trouble with
generation of source codes and we think you can help us about that
(Question) we followed
instructions that were described in Building the Helix DNA Client Part2.
But we couldn¡¯t generate sources in phase 4 and don¡¯t know what¡¯s wrong.
Can you help us generate
source code?
