On all branches we have a Flash renderer that supports
through Flash 4. This is a renderer built from source code
that we licensed from Macromedia.
On the HEAD we recently added a renderer which hosts the
installed Flash player (either ActiveX control or Netscape
plugin).

We do not have redistribution rights for the Flash 4 source
code we licensed from Macromedia. So that source code cannot
be made part of the public Helix source code. We have, however,
built this source code into a distribution library for many
platforms such as Windows, Mac, and Linux. The renderer stub
which links into this distribution library is found
at datatype/flash/renderer.
The source code which hosts the installed Flash player
can be found in datatype/flash/flashhost with its base class
at datatype/common/basehost.
