This is a renderer built from source code that we licensed from Macromedia. On the HEAD we recently added a renderer which hosts the installed Flash player (either ActiveX control or Netscape plugin). > 2)Is the source code of Macromedia Flash engine also given? > If yes, where is it located We do not have redistribution rights for the Flash 4 source code we licensed from Macromedia. So that source code cannot be made part of the public Helix source code. We have, however, built this source code into a distribution library for many platforms such as Windows, Mac, and Linux. The renderer stub which links into this distribution library is found at datatype/flash/renderer. The source code which hosts the installed Flash player can be found in datatype/flash/flashhost with its base class at datatype/common/basehost. > 3) If not, where is the interface to Macromedia Flash > engine located? > 4) What would be the ideal point from where I can start > looking at the Helix code to understand the code flow, say > for Playback of SWF file. > This is probably the best place to start: https://helix-client.helixcommunity.org/architecture.html with specific emphasis on the clinet architecture: https://client.helixcommunity.org/2003/devdocs/intro/client_intro.htm Eric ============================================= Eric Hyche (ehychereal.com) Technical Lead RealNetworks, Inc. > Regards > Abhishek > > _______________________________________________ Helix-client-dev mailing list Helix-client-devhelixcommunity.org http://lists.helixcommunity.org/mailman/listinfo/helix-client-dev
