John, clntcore.so is no longer built on HEAD. When we moved
to the Atlas
platform this DLL was retired. What you use to think of the
'engine' is
now a few different DLLs with more specific roles.

Let us know if you have any questions about it.

As of last Friday, clean builds on HEAD/Linux were running
just great
for me.
