I had similar problems with VC8/VC9 before because it
requires the manifest
to be included in the binary (exe/dll).
It works fine on VC7, so I recommend using Visual Studio
.NET 2003 and
SYSTEM_ID = win32-i386-vc7
Or maybe you can try building again with a "-t
embed_manifest" option.

Subject: [Helix-client-dev] Run splay on Window error
Hi,
Please advise which mailing list I should go if the
following question
is not relevant to this mailing list.
I built splay from HEAD and when I run:
splay -a -s test.mp3
It popped up an error message:
Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library:
Debug Error!
Program: C:helixsrcdebugsplay.exe
R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime
library
without using a manifest.
This is an unsupported way to load Visual C++ DLLs. You need
to modify
our application to build with a manifest.
For more information, see the "Visual C++ Libraries as
Shared
Side-by-Side Assumblies" topic in the product
documentation.
I clicked the try, then it came to another error message:
splay.exe - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0x80000003).
Click on
OK to terminate the application.
What I could be missing here?
Thank you.
Kind Regards.
