Hi All,

I assume this is the right place ;to ask this question.
Could anyone provide me information that why release version cook.so produces gargled audio while debug version produces absolutly fine audio.
I checked it on both fedora and ubuntu distribution of linux.

Thanks in advance
Gaurav

Just want to be more precise with the build settings that i am using to help you understand the problem.

On fedore core6(kernel 2.6.18-1.2798):

SYSTEM_ID is linux-2.6-glib23-i686

and on ubuntu(kernel 2.6.20-16-generic):

SYSTEM_ID is linux-2.2-libc6-gcc32-i586

Rest of the setting I used are:

BIF: hxclient_1_5_0_cayenne_restrcited.bif
target : splay:
profile : helix-client-all-defines

Regards
Gaurav

I have seen that as well on my desktop. I have had this
problem for about
1/2 year. However I was the only one every to see it, so I
assume there
was something strange in my setup (and I do mostly debug
builds only).

If you are seeing this, then I think it must be a real
problem. Perhaps
with a certain GCC version and/or kernel version. Might be
generating
bad assembly somewhere. I don't really have any suggestions
right now
on how to fix it because I really don't know what is wrong.
I certainly
does work on other people's computers.
