I use RealPlayer Basic for Windows (10.5 build 6.0.12.1348).
I have discovered the
Last.FM/Audioscrobbler service.
"Last.fm is an Internet radio station and music
recommendation system that merged with sister site
Audioscrobbler in August 2005. The system builds a detailed
profile of each user's musical taste,
showing their favourite artists and songs on a customizable
profile webpage, comprising the songs
played on its stations selected via a collaborative filter,
or optionally, recorded by a Last.fm
plugin installed into its users' music playing
application."
Almost each player supports the last.fm protocol, but
RealPlayer doesn't. There are plug-ins for
Windows Media, Win Amp, i Tunes, QCD, even Rhapsody
(RealRhapsody).
Nobody has created a plugin yet because the so called API is
closed. I'd like to ask is it possible
the Helix Community contributors to create such plug-in?
