RTSP URLs crash the HelixPlayer

The error seen on an xterm (if HelixPlayer is launched from
an Xterm is as follows).

/usr/bin/hxplay: line 42: 12120 Segmentation fault     
$HELIX_LIBS/hxplay.bin "$"

The strace output from HELIX_LIBS=/usr/local/HelixPlayer
strace -o hxplay_strace -f -ff -e
trace=open /usr/local/HelixPlayer/hxplay.bin
rtsp://goleta.coreqa.prognet.com:5554/real9video.rm is
attached.
