Using Linux Player, downloaded from REAL site (version 10)

No audio when using Linux player and MULTICAST (Unicast
works). Eg: When
access the video from the url
http:
//server.ip.address/scalable/escola.rm.sdp we get vĂdeo
but NO audio.

 This problem is specific to Linux, because if we start
another remote
station w/ Windows client, it will play both video and
audio.

It is also specific to multicast as if you play the same
stream as unicast
from the url
http://server.ip.address/ramagen/broadcast/escola.rm in
the
same Linux computer you tried multicast, using the Linux
player the video
comes complete with audio.

 By saying this I rule out

-problems with the source, as you can play the audio when
using unicast in
Linux a both multicast and unicast in Windows.

-problems with the medium, Windows player works correctely.

-problems with the audio infrasctructure in Linux as it can
play unicast.

-problems with coding and codec versions, for the same
reasons above.

 That leaves us only with the multicast implementation of
the linux player.

The Brazilian Government will broadcast to many thousands of
users through
this service on March 28 and we need a solution urgently.
