The mouse-over issue is caused by a change in nsITimer UUID
from: 
uuid(29ee628e-a3ea-471f-965d-dc9f11d1c183) 
 
to: 
uuid(436a83fa-b396-11d9-bcfa-00112478d626) 
 
The change was introduced in Gecko 1.8, which is used in
Firefox 1.5. 
 
Helix source file affected: 
common/import/gecko-sdk/xpcom/include/nsITimer.h 
 
Changing the UUID along fixed the (nsITimer and) CallBack
interface (for OnMouseOver(), etc.) in Helix Player.
