Summary: mp4fformat plugin fails to build
properly
Severity: S2
Status: NEW
Last changed date: 2007-06-16 14:54:56
Hardware: Other
Version: 11.0.99.1270
Tracker: Bugs
Project: helix-server
Target Milestone: ---
Well, the summary sort of says it all. Some details:
SYSTEM_ID=win32-i386-vc7 (and my compiler is Studio .NET
2003, as specified)
Current Directory: C:DevHOMEsrchelix
[0] Set BIF branch (SERVER_CURRENT)
[1] Set Target(s) (servinstplus)
[2] Set Profile (helix-server-plus)
[3] run: build -trelease
-> works
Then build 241 - datatype_mp4_fileformat (and perhaps
datatype_amr_fileformat) results in a
mp4fformat.dll that gets loaded properly.
The problem is, while actually trying to stream a 3GP file
(both aac+mp4 and amr+h263 types are
affected), the server reports mime type:
"video/X-RN-3GPP-H263" where it should be
something like
"video/H263-2000". This causes many video players
(quicktime, vlc) to get very confused and/or crash.
Fairly thoroughly checked this bug with Jamie Gordon on the
mailinglist, and this indeed seems to be
a bug. Is the plugin being built in 'client side mode"
perhaps?
