Mobility often means a user must sacrifice performance and extra features, but the Sony VAIO S260 proves this doesn't have to be the case. The touchpad is well placed and does not interfere with touch-typing. The buttons have changed from the oblong, shiny silver buttons found on previous S series notbooks to a flush, brushed alluminum, similar to the Apple Titanum series notebooks. I like it - reflections are easy to ignore and even provide you with a sense of peripheral "what's that going on behind me?" vision that's useful in the office. If you have to know anything about the screen, know this: never EVER touch the screen. The greasy finger marks are amazingly visible and take some real elbow grease to get out. Invest in a box of anti-static screen wipes and a microfiber cleaning cloth, you will thank me.
